On February 28, the developers of Garry’s Mod released a news post requesting assistance in identifying issues in a new update scheduled for March 13. When March 13 arrived, the update was officially published as a separate news entry on the game’s portal. This patch introduced a substantial number of changes, fixes, and additions — far more extensive than those delivered over the previous six months.

The game now supports full client-side crosshair customization, allowing players to create and adjust crosshairs in various forms. The customization menu is accessible via the main menu through the “Crosshair customization” button in the settings. Additionally, the Field of View (FOV) slider has been relocated from the graphics tab to the first tab of the settings menu.

Within the Sandbox game mode, multiple minor adjustments were implemented to improve usability and interaction with both client and server sandbox tools. The spawn menu was expanded to include entities and NPCs from the first Portal, provided the game is installed. Source TV fixes restored the ability to record demos directly from the server side.

Another major addition is the ability to copy add-on presets from the add-ons tab directly to the clipboard and import them into collections. Players can now also share add-ons more conveniently with others.

The update also delivered numerous fixes and optimizations targeting long-standing technical issues that previously caused instability in add-ons. However, some regressions appeared: certain player models once again generate errors, and some particle effects that previously worked correctly now behave inconsistently. On the positive side, improvements were made to the main menu performance and memory-related issues.
